The Passara Parish Community celebrated Olivizha 2024 on December 14th, with the aim of sharing the joy of Christ’s birth. The event was held at the Passara Library Auditorium, where parishioners gathered for a joyous celebration.
Among the special guests were Rev. Fr. Stephan OCD, Assistant Priest of Lunungala Parish; Rev. Fr. Jesupalan OMI, Parish Priest of Passara; and the Reverend Sisters serving in the parish. The event was also graced by Ven. Imam Nishap of Passara Jumma Mosque, Dr. V. Krishan, MBBS from Badulla General Hospital, Ms. Janafa Sarina, Passara Zonal Educational Director, Mr. Prabagaran, Principal of Passara Tamil National College, and Mr. Samarasinghe Bandara, Grama Niladari of Meeriyabedda Division.
The parishioners actively participated in performing stage events, helping to bring the true spirit of Christmas to life. The celebration at St. Jude’s Shrine, Passara, was a wonderful expression of faith, unity, and the joy of Christ’s birth.
