On 11th August 2024, St. Anthony's Church in Ulhitiya, Mahiyanganaya, celebrated the 40th Annual Feast of the Diocesan Calvary Shrine. This milestone event brought together devotees from across the country, all united in faith and community spirit. Many participants camped out for the novenas and the feast, making the occasion truly special.
The Festive High Mass was celebrated with great reverence by Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla, and Rt. Rev. Dr. Harold Anthony Perera, President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Sri Lanka and Bishop of Kurunegala. Their presence graced the event with profound spiritual significance.
Bishop Jude extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the devotees who traveled from far and wide, passing by many churches on their way to the Badulla Diocese. He assured them of his prayers and vowed to remember their needs and intentions.
