The annual feast of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Lunugala was celebrated on February 16, 2025. Carmelite priests from India celebrated the Festive Holy Eucharist, which was attended by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla. A procession with the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes followed the mass, concluding with the Bishop's blessing. Parishioners and devotees from surrounding areas attended the event.
The preceding evening, vespers were held, led by Vicar General Very Rev. Fr. Priyalal Cooray, and included an Eucharistic procession. Many priests and religious from the Diocese also participated.
