Marking the beginning of the Jubilee Year, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva opened the second Holy Door today, on January 5 in the Diocese of Badulla at St. Anthony’s Shrine, Bandarawela, one of the two churches designated in the Bandarawela Deanery. This followed the opening of the first Holy Door at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Badulla on the same day. At the celebration in Bandarawela, all faithful were invited to enter through the Holy Door and renew their baptismal promises. Service was concluded with Bishop's blessings.
