The Badge Ceremony of the Holy Childhood Society in Badulla Deanery took place on February 8, 2025, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Badulla. The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Basil Rohan Fernando, the PMS National Director, who also celebrated the Holy Mass. In attendance were Very Rev. Fr. Mervyn Sudarshan, Episcopal Vicar; Rev. Fr. Dilex Shantha, Dean of Badulla Deanery; Rev. Fr. Sam Perera, a former Diocesan Director for PMS; and several other priests serving in the Diocese.

The event was successfully organized by Rev. Fr. Balanathan, the Badulla Diocesan PMS Director, in collaboration with the Holy Childhood Animators of the Diocese.

Children from the parishes of Badulla, Namunukula, Passara, Lungala, and Madulsima actively participated in the event. During the ceremony, they gave their promise to be little missionaries for Christ, embracing their commitment to faith and service. Following the Mass, an Art Exhibition was held, featuring artwork created by the children of the Holy Childhood Society.
