In this Jubilee Year of Hope, Catholics are encouraged to embark on a pilgrimage that includes passing through a Holy Door at cathedrals or specially designated churches within their dioceses. The Holy Door serves as a powerful symbol of Christ, the one true door to salvation (Jn 10:9) and the sole path leading to the Father (Jn 14:6). These pilgrimages offer an unique opportunity to receive indulgences and partake in the abundant blessings of the Holy Year, drawing us closer to God’s grace.

Passing through the Holy Door signifies stepping away from the worldly and entering into the realm of salvation. Consider reaching out to your Parish Priest or Spiritual Director to organize a group pilgrimage from your community to visit a designated Holy Door in the diocese.
