𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐀 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 – 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞

This sub-parish is spiritually shepherded by Rev. Fr. Mervin Sudharshan, the first diocesan priest from the Diocese of Badulla itself — a proud and historic milestone for the local Church.

Despite a long and tiring day, filled with journeys to rural and upcountry communities, His Excellency and Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla, joyfully met the faithful of Kahagalla, a community that represents the often-overlooked estate population — simple, faithful, and full of hope.

The visit highlighted the Diocese’s deep commitment to walking with the marginalized, uplifting their faith, and ensuring that no community is left unseen or unheard in the Church’s mission.

The Nuncio’s presence was a blessing, and his heartfelt interactions brought much encouragement and joy to the faithful of this small but vibrant estate church.

A day filled with deep encounters, spiritual renewal, and a reminder of the Church’s call to reach every corner of the vineyard.
