After the morning visit to Glananore, His Excellency, Most Rev. Dr. Brian Udaigwe, Apostolic Nuncio to Sri Lanka, visited the Hawardon Retreat House, the official retreat center of the Diocese of Badulla, located in the serene surroundings of Haputale.
He was warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. Priyalal Cooray, the Vicar General of the Diocese, who organized a Bandarawela Deanery gathering, bringing together the priests and religious sisters from the deanery.
During the visit, the Nuncio spent time moving around the retreat house, observing its mission and reflecting on the spiritual work carried out there.
A special moment during this visit was the birthday celebration of Rev. Fr. Jelsin, which brought added joy to the day. His Excellency joined in the celebration with kind wishes and blessings.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla, was also present, continuing to accompany the Apostolic Nuncio during this important pastoral journey across the Diocese.
