As the pastoral visit of His Excellency, Most Rev. Dr. Brian Udaigwe, Apostolic Nuncio, continues, a deeply spiritual and joyful encounter took place at the Sidupiyanila OMI Novitiate in Bandarawela.

This special moment brought together a vibrant assembly of future Church leaders โ€” seminarians, novices, postulants, and formators from various congregations and seminaries across the Diocese and beyond.

Present were:

Fr. Anselem De Cross OSB and the Benedictine Seminarians

Fr. Neil and the Marian (MIC) Seminarians

Fr. Dudley Saparamadu OMI, Oblate Novice Master, and the Oblate Seminarians

Fr. Modustus Fernando and the Hawardon Diocesan Minor Seminarians

Shepardian and Carmelite Novices

The gathering was blessed by the presence of Rt. Rev. Dr. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla, who joined His Excellency in celebrating the Holy Eucharist with the community.

This event became a beautiful testimony to the unity and strength of vocations within the Church โ€” a moment of grace, prayer, and fraternity, as the Nuncio encouraged the young religious and seminarians in their journey of faith and service.

Stay with us as His Excellency continues his journey through the Diocese of Badulla.
