Today, the Diocese of Badulla came together in prayer and unity at St. Maryโ€™s Cathedral, Badulla, for a Solemn Requiem Mass offered in suffrage for the souls of deceased bishops, priests, and religious of the diocese. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 3:00 PM, followed by the Holy Mass, presided over by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Jude N. Silva, Bishop of Badulla.

This sacred event witnessed the gathering of all priests from across the diocese, joined by reverend sisters, and a large number of parishioners who came together in faith and solidarity. The atmosphere was filled with reverence as the community prayed for the eternal repose of the departed souls and celebrated the spirit of togetherness within the church.

The mass was a profound reminder of the deep connection shared by the diocese's clergy, religious, and laity, marking a day of spiritual reflection and unity.
